Carolina Veterinary Specialists is seeking a qualified Part-time Receptionist to join the client service team at our Huntersvillle location!

Receptionists are our company's first and last representative. All employees in this role must place a strong emphasis on customer service! This job description includes a variety of assignments and duties, however the greatest role is to courteously and efficiently meet and welcome clients and general members of the public, whether in person or on the phone.

The hours for this position will vary based upon the needs of our practice which will primarily include evening, weekends and holiday shifts at part or full time capacity.

**This position covers EVENINGS, WEEKENDS and HOLIDAY shifts. If you are not willing and able to work these shifts, please do not apply**

DUTIES:

  • Greet clients in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
  • Answer multi-line phone system
  • Admit clients, including entering and updating client/patient information
  • Obtain medical and other information from referring veterinarians
  • Check patients in the hospital according to priority
  • Prepare patient files
  • Communicate efficiently with staff members to organize case flow
  • Janitorial duties of lobby, reception area and restroom
  • Fax, file, and distribute faxes and other documents
  • Obtain deposits and other payments from clients
  • Check out client, address financial concerns


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess excellent multi tasking and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Flexible schedule
  • 1 year prior reception experience preferred
  • Veterinary experience preferred
